CPT Samantha Sullivan
Rugby Sevens
CPT Samantha Sullivan grew up playing soccer and wanted to play at West Point, but those dreams were quickly shot down by the coach there. Instead, she decided to try out for the rugby team at the beginning of her freshman year and quickly fell in love with the sport. By the third game, she was a starter on the team. During her collegiate career, she became a three-time All-American, as well as winner of the 2019 Prusmack Award for top female collegiate rugby sevens player. Samantha grew up watching her father in the military, admiring the bonds he built and pride he took in his career, and always felt a call to serve in a similar way. Now she does, as a WCAP Soldier-athlete.
