Spc. Summer Harris-Jones discovered rugby during her freshman year at the University of Virginia and quickly rose through the ranks, competing with Team USA at international World Series stops in Dubai, Toulouse, Perth, and Singapore. Drawn to the sport’s intensity and teamwork, she pursued rugby at the highest level before joining the Army in October 2024 as a 31E Corrections Specialist. Now a Soldier-athlete, she proudly serves her country while continuing to compete in rugby sevens.

I joined the Army out of a deep sense of duty and a desire to make a real impact. The structure and discipline drew me in, knowing it would help me grow stronger, both mentally and physically.
