PFC Koech Benard Kiptoo, a native of Marakwet, Kenya, discovered his passion for running as a child by commuting 10 miles daily to school. Excelling in marathons, he earned multiple podium finishes worldwide, including 1st place at the 2023 Philadelphia Marathon. Driven by discipline and ambition, he joined the U.S. Army in June 2024 as a 91D Power Generation Specialist. Now a proud Soldier-athlete, he’s honored to serve while continuing to pursue excellence in his sport.

I am living the American dream through the U.S. Army being able to serve my country and perform as an elite Soldier-athlete. This means a lot to me in my life.
