SSG Ryan McIntosh
Para Archery / Para Track & Field
Ryan ran track in high school, but after joining the Army put his competitive running career on hold. After his injury in 2010, he took up the sport again. Despite medaling in the 2014 Invictus Games, he found his prosthetic limited his aspirations to be a world class sprinter. Then fellow WCAP Paralympian Michael Lukow introduced him to archery, and Ryan dove into it. He trained to perform at the 2017 CISM competition, and continues to pursue elite fitness that includes racing and wheelchair rugby, with archery at its core.
Always remember: your mental strength is more important than your physical strength.
